About the Authors

Robert Z. Hopkins is Senior Principal Scientist at AIMSCI Research Institute. He is Editor-in-Chief of Reactive Oxygen Species, a peer-reviewed journal for the rapid dissemination of leading edge scientific knowledge on reactive oxygen and related species/entities (including antioxidants) in chemistry, biology, and medicine.

Y. Robert Li is Professor and Chair of Pharmacology at Campbell Medical School and Adjunct Professor at several other major universities, including Virginia Tech-Wake Forest University School of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences, Department of Biomedical Sciences and Pathobiology of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and Department of Biology of University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Y. Robert Li is Co-Editor-in-Chief of Toxicology Letters, a well-respected international journal published by Elsevier and editorial board member for a number of major scholarly journals. He is author of over 130 peer-reviewed journal articles and his research has been funded extensively by the United States National Institutes of Health. Other recent books of Y. Robert Li include the widely adopted “Free Radical Biomedicine: Principles, Clinical Correlations, and Methodologies”; “Antioxidants in Biology and Medicine: Essentials, Advances, and Clinical Applications”; “Cardiovascular Diseases: From Molecular Pharmacology to Evidence-Based Therapeutics”; and “Biomedical Research: Strategic Planning for Success”.
